A bit more about this awesome glass artist:
Debbi grew up in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Fashion and Textiles. She has lived in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and currently resides in Texas. Debbi’s lifelong adventure with glass began in 1975.
Diverse exposure through her world travels has sparked her imagination. She has experimented with many different art mediums but, finds all forms of glass fascinating. Captivated by glass and its enduring beauty and boundless possibilities, she continues to be compelled to manipulate and study different glass techniques.
In the past, Debbi has experimented with stained glass, sand blasting glass, and glassblowing in the hot shop. She loves giving life to new ideas and forms. After trying various forms of glass techniques, Debbi completely rejoices in kiln formed glass. Debbi’s glass adventures continue with working in kiln formed glass, cast glass and lampworking. Debbi is confident that she will never tire of trying new methods of creating glass art.
Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery, 701 South Main Street, also located at the train depot, surrounds you with a cascade of color in vibrant glass sculptures and delightful light filled objects. The Vetro gallery houses many fine glass artists’ work, glass jewelry, and over fifty consignment artists. The performance of the glass blowers choreographing their skills in front of the glowing glass creations is always a source of entertainment.
